The Sanctuary, is an evangelical Church comprised of people from diverse racial, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds. We are an independent, non-denominational, Bible-believing church, embracing a charismatic style of worship.

 

We believe that the gospel message brings about personal reformation, family reformation, community reformation and ultimately the reformation of an entire city. Reformation may be defined as the betterment of the business, education and governmental sectors of society.

Pastor Gerald and his wife, Cheryl, along with 22 other caring men and women from Newark and the greater Newark area were commissioned to begin a kingdom community in 2009. The  mission of The Sanctuary is to see individual lives reformed, families reformed, communities reformed, cities reformed, and our nation reformed, by the power and love of God!
